Programme Description
This programme aims to equip students with professional knowledge and skills in transport operations and management and illustrates the business environment of transport industry including air, maritime, railway and road. The programme covers knowledge and skills in safety, customer services, management, marketing and financial perspective to transport operations and management. Students will be able to analyse operation and management practices of various transport systems in an integrated perspective, preparing our graduates to pursue a career in the transport industry.
Professional Recognition
The programme follows the syllabi of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Hong Kong (CILTHK) Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE). Graduates from Advanced Diploma in Transport Operations and Management will receive partial exemption from the educational requirements for Chartered Membership of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (6 out of 8 Papers will be exempted for CILTHK's PQE).
Admission Requirements
Applicants shall fulfil the following admission requirements:
- have attained Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English Language and Chinese Language in HKDSE or equivalent; OR
- have attained Grade E (Syllabus B)/Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English Language and Chinese Language in HKCEE, or equivalent; OR
- hold a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) qualification in logistics industry at QF Level 3 or above; OR
- hold a certificate/ diploma at QF Level 3 or above from a recognized institution , e.g. Diploma Yi Jin
Applicants under conditions 3 & 4 above shall be required to pass a English test.
Applicants may be invited to attend an interview.
Programme Duration
2 years (Part-time mode. 3 semesters per year)
Medium of Instruction
The language of instruction will be English supplemented with Cantonese. Course materials and assessments are in English.
Class Schedule / Venue
Part-time 2-year Mode: Lectures are normally held during evening at Hung Hom Centre or other training centres. (Occasionally on Saturdays).
Programme Award
Graduates of this programme will be awarded the Advanced Diploma in Transport Operations and Management.
Tuition Fee for Entire Programme
HK$47,200* (Tuition fees are subject to change without prior notice)
* Tuition fee is paid at the beginning of the academic year. New students are required to pay an initial registration fee of HK$5,000 to confirm their offer. This registration fee will be deducted from the tuition fee payment. All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Academy Prizes
The “Academy Prizes” will be awarded to the top three graduates of each Accredited Programme. Graduates will receive cash awards in recognition of outstanding academic performance.
